County Funding Through HealthChoices
Pennsylvania County Funding for Drug & Alcohol Addiction Treatment Through HealthChoices
Many people who do not have insurance discover that they are eligible for financial assistance through HealthChoices, an expanded Medicaid plan that is overseen by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS). HealthChoices is a publicly funded managed care program that provides eligible Pennsylvania residents with access to a broad scope of treatment services including medical care, mental health treatment, and addiction rehab.
According to the DHS website, HealthChoices covers individuals and families in all 67 counties in Pennsylvania, with services and coverage organized into the following five zones:
