Treatment Modalities
Treatment Types in our Residential Treatment Program
The residential treatment program at our rehab center is available to the men and women of Lebanon ages 18 and older and typically lasts for about 20 days. During treatment, individuals can benefit from a number of interventions, including the following:
Individual therapy: Individuals in the residential treatment program receive individual therapy at least once per week with certified or licensed counselors. Individual therapy allows individuals in the program to have time to continue to work on internal struggles, receive support, and process issues that have arisen during treatment.
Medication management: Individuals with medication needs are able to meet with licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and our staff physician to receive medication management services. Each person will receive a psychiatric evaluation, and medications will be administered and managed by medical staff as necessary.
Family therapy: An individual’s family can be a powerful source of support, so our rehab center provides family therapy sessions as necessary.
Group therapy: Group therapy is often one of the most transformational pieces of a residential recovery program. We provide group therapy five times per week, or eight times per week in the co-occurring mental illness track. Groups may include the following:
- Group therapy
- Gender-specific groups twice per week
- 12 step meetings
- Therapeutic recreation
- Morning reflection
- Spirituality
- Gender
- Goals
- Treatment plans
- Dual recovery
- Step 1
- Psychoeducation groups
Groups may cover various topics, such as the following:
- Building social networks
- Addiction education
- Understanding and reducing angry feelings
- Living in balance
- Relapse prevention
- Ideas for better communication
- Getting motivated to change
After the Program

We know that successful recovery is a long-term effort, so in order to give each individual the best possible chance for long-term sobriety, our rehab center provide discharge planning services that start the day he or she begins the treatment program.
Wrestling with a substance use disorder can be an incredibly difficult process that can be exponentially more challenging when the afflicted individual is also struggling with a co-occurring mental health disorder. At New Perspective at White Deer Run in Lebanon, we understand the challenges that are faced by each individual who comes to us for care, and we are dedicated to providing the comprehensive services that will prepare each participant to achieve and maintain long-term recovery.
